Activity has been slow around ApolloMix... let's try to spice things up! It's been a very long time since we've had a competition... so I think it's time we give another one a whirl! Let's try to make this one memorable!
The rules for this competition are simple: create the best piece of sheet music from one of the first three Donkey Kong Country games that you possibly can! This competition will judged on originality, quality, playability, and sheet aesthetics. You can submit as many entries as you want to increase your chances of winning. However, duplicate entries will be disqualified.
The competition will conclude on March 31, 2012. However, if we do not have at least 5 entries by the time, the competition will be extended.

As I'm sure you've noticed, ApolloMix recently got a makeover! Let me know what you guys think! Though the majority of the redesign is purely cosmetic, you'll notice that I moved the activity feed below the main page title, right above the content. This is intended to make activity more obvious around the site, and actually boost activity in the future. We can only hope! Tell your friends! 
Also, I added a [color] BBCode tag, so now you guys can post in every color of the rainbow! This also works in the chatbox too, so have fun with it! On that note, I also permitted the use of several other BBCode tags in the chatroom, including [center], [quote], and [url].

Man, it's been a while since I've posted here. Life has been crazy! I just thought I'd let you know that I have not forgotten about ApolloMix, and am still making changes to it from time to time as I deem them necessary. If you have any suggestions, don't hesitate to tell me about them!
Also, today, I put some new measures in place that will hopefully help to boost the ApolloMix community. Expect to see some new faces around here very soon! Invite your friends, too! We can still revive this place! We just need some more comments and posts.

A lot of you have reported that you were having trouble using ApolloMix's sheet music directory, explaining that you were having trouble searching through them with the sort features. Well, after some looking, I found the problem, and everything now works like a charm!
Let me know if you have any other suggestions on ways to make ApolloMix even better!
